Alternative Christmas Tree Ideas to Try This Year

I love Christmas to the core. It’s my favourite time of year. And decorating the Christmas tree has always been a big deal in our family.

Sometimes a traditional Christmas tree just isn’t in the holiday plans or perhaps you have developed an allergy to red and green. Whatever the reason, I’ve got few non-traditional Christmas tree ideas to help you make your holiday merry and bright.

The shape of a Christmas tree is pretty easy to create with all kinds of household objects and things found in your home. With a little creativity, you can have a beautiful Christmas tree. Whether your non-traditional tree will last for the season or for years to come is up to you and how much effort you want to put in.

  1. "Hermes" Christmas Tree

Now that's a refreshingly different holiday spirit. You only get to decorate a tree once a year, so why not go all out?

Use existing designer boxes to create your alternative Christmas tree. Arrange all those orange beauties in a tree-like formation and Don’t forget the traditional Hermes ribbons!

2. "Contrasting Combo" Christmas Trees - with a dramatic and pleasing effect

These were my 2020 "COVID" Christmas Trees - because "MORE IS MORE" and we all needed a bit of more in those times.

Black & White

Blue & White

Black and white Christmas tree decorations can be just as festive as the traditional Christmas colour scheme. These contrasting decorations can create a stunning Christmas display. The benefit of these decorations is that they match any home decor. And don't forget to add a bit of silver for a sweet sparkling touch.

Blue and white aren’t definitely a traditional colour combo for Christmas decor but this is a great way to stand out, adding an elegant touch to your home. Besides blue and white are symbolic for winter, they remind of frozen lakes and snow. If you have a flocked or a crispy white tree, then don’t forget that gifts under the tree should correspond with the tree decor.

3. "The Queen of the Forest" Christmas Tree - the pièce the résistance for Christmas 2022

If matching colours isn't your strong suit, pick a theme you can't mess up: winter whites. this wonderland-inspired colour scheme uses the same hue to create a stunning snow-kissed landscape.

Do you want to turn your living room into a winter wonderland? Create an alternative Christmas tree inspired from Mother Nature.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
