How to create a relaxing place to retreat? How to create your own self-care space?


DEFINITION: Self-care space = It's a little space, a little corner in your home, that you can call your own place, to sit, meditate, relax and get away form the world.

In this article I want to highlight the importance of creating a space where you can shut out the rest of the world and decompress and check in with yourself(contains you and your thoughts). So having that calm little space of your own where you can retreat to and get away from all the outside noise is very important.

My "cosy-corner" is where I check-in with what's coming up for the rest of the day/week. When I get up in the morning, I head to that corner with a warm cup of coffee and that small amount of time in that tiny space, it's just enough for me to re-up before the day begins.

What makes a cosy nook cosy is the fabrics, the colours, the light and the warm element.

Well, firstly, you need a comfortable seating where you can curl up. Warm colours and textures are very important tools to create the mood. Don't forget about a cosy blanket to keep you warm and talking about that warmth element, what can be more efficient in creating a cosy experience than a fire element or a candle.
