We should not design our homes according to trends, I'm just telling you what speaks to me, what I love, so perhaps if it speaks to you as well, you can do it in your homes.
Timeless but Trendy
Most of us don't have the budget to change our spaces from year to year but I strongly believe that one can incorporate elements in our spaces, to stay updated and still showcasing our personality and individuality. The trick is choosing those pieces that are both in line with today's design sensibilities, but timeless enough to withstand the test of time.
One can make a space feel timeless by incorporating collected pieces and new pieces together and LAYER IT UP the right way. I always apply the 70-30 rule. Keep 70% of what you have already, classic, timeless and add 30% in decorative objects that are fun and trendy and you can remove them easily, when they are not more "relevant".
Personality-Rich Interior Design Trend
Goodbye normal and Hello impactful pieces that start a conversation. In 2024, our homes are a canvas for self-expression and functional improvement. Let your home reflect your likes and personality. Always remember, if you LOVE IT, then DO IT !!
Don't stick on one strict style. Mix styles, old and new, squares and round. This year everything goes as long as that's interesting, intentional and in line with your personal taste.

Organic Design Trend
Talking about NOT boring - This trend ran uncontrolled already in 2023 and is here to stay. And I LOVE IT!
The Organic Design Trend uses shapes, materials, finishes and colours drawn from nature.
A. Flowy furniture with organic shapes
Curved edges soften more those structural pieces and flowy furniture with organic shapes offer comfort and visual appeal, creating an inviting atmosphere.
This chair attracts everyone's attention due to its curves, tripod design with three legs and the graphic pattern.
The curved "cloud" coffee table is one of the most popular curved furniture piece and is perfectly fitting in any space.
B. Organic-Shaped Mirrors
It's one of 2024 home décor trends and the easiest to include in your interior.
Mirrors with organic, irregular shapes create a bold statement in any space. These pieces add depth, intrigue and a touch of glamour, making spaces feel larger and more inviting.
C. Sculptural Furniture
I love adding pieces that are like pieces of art, yet still functional. Why should we just look at the functionality of our furniture choices? Why can we not have both? BOLD AND PRACTICAL.

D. Scalloping
Scallop shapes are very trendy and used to add fluidity and break up harsh lines in interiors. Does not necessary applies to furniture. It can also be applied to decorative objects(lamps, rugs, decorative pillows). Scalloping can be done on the sofa with round pillows. It's fun and very un-expensive way to introduce this trend in your home and if you get tired of the donut-shape, you can always get new pillows. Scalloping can be in art or rugs and it's a great way of introducing a bit of softness into your home. If all the edges are straight, I like to mix it up.
